Wayside Waifs

Wayside Waifs is Kansas City's largest no-kill shelter, dedicated to finding homes for homeless animals and preventing cruelty to animals. Since 1940, it has expanded its mission to include education, adoption services, and pet-owner resources like their on-site dog park and pet cemetery. High school volunteers can help care for animals, assist with events, and support daily shelter operations.
